Justin Bieber Responds To Demi Lovato's Alleged Overdose: 'It's Very Sad'

Justin Bieber was equally shocked and saddened to hear that Demi Lovato had reportedly overdosed after an all-night binger, as per new paparazzi footage, which TMZ published on Wednesday afternoon (July 25).

While the newly-engaged singer was out and about in Los Angeles on Wednesday, a photog asked if he had spoken to his pop peer since the incident. While he hasn't made communication with the star, it's clear that his new focus on religion has brought him plenty of compassion. "It's very sad," he told the photog. "But my prayers go out to her and her family for sure. I thought she was sober. That's terrible, right?" Bieber is the latest star to share his well-wishes for the singer, with several industry names like Ariana Grande, Missy Elliott, and Kehlani coming forward to wish their best for Lovato after the news went viral.

On Wednesday, Us Weekly shed some insight on the situation, courtesy of one source, who revealed that this was something her inner circle saw coming. "One of her friends had Narcan on hand in case something like this happened. Her friends knew this was coming because she's been using so much again. They were up all night partying the night before at her house," the source revealed. "Luckily, the Narcan worked and she will recover."
