We're Getting a New 'Home Alone' Movie and No One Likes It

In a trend that never seems to work out for anyone, Disney+ is about to release another sequel to the Home Alone franchise. Out November 12, the movie follows the same premise as the ones before it, 10-year old Max Mercer is accidentally left behind as his family goes off to Tokyo for Christmas vacation and ends up defending his home from intruders.

Early reviews of the movie are...not great!

Reactions to the trailer posted on YouTube are mostly centered around a nostalgia for Macaulay Culkin and how unfunny this new version seems to be. One commenter posted "I look forward to seeing how they can make this premise work in an age where everybody has a phone."
